Descendants of Thomas Ellis

I'm getting a suggestion error 310 on a profile I'm connected to and co-manage. I could use help from someone with access to Quaker Records that might be able to verify a child. The 310 error is from Carlen-20. She died in 1797. A child, Ellis-8614, is attached to her showing a birth date of 1814. This cannot be unless her spouse, Ellis-5968 remarried after her death, or the birth date was entered incorrectly. I cannot find a record of a second marriage, nor can I find a record of the child William Ellis with the given birth date unless I'm missing it somewhere. If someone could steer me in the correct direction of any possible records I could research I would appreciate it. Looks like this Ellis family line were Quakers, or connected with Quakers, hence my thinking maybe a record might be there? Trying to correctly resolve the 310 error without damaging the other profiles. Thank you in advance, and Merry Christmas everyone!

There is a record at Ancestry which shows Thomas, his wife Magdalene Carlen, and their children. William is not listed. That record is from a compilation made in 1930 and doesn't indicate the source(s) from which the material was drawn. It is a clue at best but here's the citation.

Eshelman, John E., compiler, 1930, "A Genealogical Record of Members Composing The Society of Friends or Quakers Resident at some time in Berks County, Pennsylvania or Attached to the Meeting Located in the said County," pg 72, "Thomas Ellis"; Ancestry.com, database with images, "U.S., Quaker Meeting Records, 1681-1935" > Pennsylvania > Berks > Exeter Monthly Meeting > Genealogy of Berks > image 36 of 206 {{Ancestry Record|2189|2646976}} with attached {{Ancestry image|2189|31906_283788-00480}}. [This record was compiled in 1930; specific sources of the data are not mentioned.]

I didn't find any Quaker records for a William Ellis born in 1814 with a father named Thomas. It was, by no means, an exhaustive search.

Thank you for your time Debi. I appreciate you looking! I also have not been able to find information on William Ellis born 1814, or at this time am I able to confirm or deny he was a son of Thomas and Magdalene. Still scratching my head on this one! I will keep researching and will probably tag his profile 'uncertain' until I can find some sources.

I found this unsourced geni profile for William Ellis born 30 Sep 1814.  Wife is also styled as "Elizabeth Ellis".

His dad was also a Thomas Ellis, but dates are 1774-1863.

I think this is the geni guy on the Kansas census:

"Kansas State Census, 1865", database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QL68-DY6L : 12 November 2017), William Ellis, 1865.

I suspect Ellis-8614 was attached to the other Thomas by accident.

Thank you Heather! Still thinking, and the more I think about it (without the proper sources) I'm suspecting the same as you have mentioned, that William (Ellis-8614) is connected to the wrong parents. I will worm deeper into this, and thank you for the link to help me out! Cheers!
