Why does WikiTree not pull data from FamilySearch maybe asking for confirmation before nailing it in?

Wayne, I'm not following what you're thinking here or what you would want to see happen?  It's the individual profile managers who search for data and records, on Family Search as well as on many other sites and in non-web sources.  The individual profile managers make a human decision about what sources do or do not apply to the person they're researching.  Probably the most you could ask for in the way of "confirmation" of a record found on a web site is that whoever indexed the original record did it correctly.  Sometimes you can confirm that yourself if you have access to the original record, but what in the process would you change?

Thanks Susan!  Over the years I think I have gotten some gold stars I didn't really deserve and been robbed of some others I did deserve.  Maybe it all works out in the long run.

And what does familysearch have that you the PM cannot access with your computer or device? Other than materials limited only to a member of that religious denomination, of course.

For the families I work on, I use FamilySearch for source location only.  There are so many wrong sources connected to profiles and wrong information attached that PMs could spend a lot of their time saying no after wasting time researching.
