Looking for family of Johan Christlieb Bahr, born Nov 5, 1832, he married Wilhelmine Tromp (Tramp) in 1850, came to U.S. approximately 1868. I believe his father was Fritz, mother was Christina. I know they were from the current area of Choszczno but would like to have sources as proof.

I am having the same issue. My 3rd great grandmother was born in Arnswalde. I do not have a birth record for her to prove it, only that she and her husband and children traveled from there and her death record says she was born there. I would like to be able to find an actual birth or baptismal record for her. Unfortunately, I followed the link that George provided and the sources on FamilySearch are digitized but not publicly available. So, unless you live in Utah, you're going to have a hard time looking these things up.
