Suggestion 544: How do I fix it?

I have profiles that get the suggestion, "544 WikiData - Possible Mother/Father on WikiData".  I have read (but, frankly, not really understood) Space:DBE_544.  I have created an account on WikiData but I cannot work out where/how to link a WikiTree profile. I have tried to add it in the "Other sites" section but it will not let me enter a WikiTree url. Please could I have some "beginner" instructions so that I can learn how to do this?

Thanks, Susan.  I had found this one.  It explains what the problem is (I think I understand that), but not how to fix it. The link to WikiData seems like a really good idea and I would like to learn how do to this.
I hid a comment by Susan Smith that essentially said she doesn't understand Wikidata. I hid it because it could confuse people, and it definitely doesn't advance the discussion.
Ellen, my decision is closer to being made, to drop out g2g completely ...

If you select the wikiData ID in the suggestion, it brings up Lydia Russell's record on wikidata.  Scrolling down has a link to her 'child' Ralph, who is listed as her 'child' in wikitree.  Selecting that, you can verify that they are the same person on both sites, therefore, the mother Lydia is correct.

Scrolling down or searching on the wikidata page for Ralph, you will find an entry that has WikiTree person ID  Richardson-15054 which matches the WikiTree person ID for her son. The Suggestion is because Lydia's page on wikidata doesn't have her WikiTree profile ID, as Ralph's page has.

Returning to Lydia's wikidata page, scroll down to the Identifiers section, which has The Peerage person ID.  Below that, select Add Statement on the right side.  In the Property field start entering wikitree.  You will see a drop down for WikiTree Person ID, which you can select.  Then in the open box, enter her WikiTree Profile ID Russell-14988 and select Publish.

I think that is the steps, but I didn't want to actually do it, so you can try it.  Once that is updated, then you can update the Suggestion with Corrected and your comment.

Hope that helps.

Brilliant! That's exactly what I wanted and it worked a treat. Thanks, Linda.
I had to remember what to do and had to be at the computer, not mobile, to try the steps.  As Ales has said, they don't have to be done, but you need human person to verify the profiles are the same. Steps are fairly easy for a few of them.
Thanks for explaining. I too had this question on the Wikitree facebook page, and I worked it out after watching a video that was buried in the error space page. It was not obvious at all how to fix it. Someone should write a step-by-step explanation of how to address these Wikidata errors.
