I am seeking source info for CAPT Charles Saxon  (1743-1808 DAR dates) but not sure their dates are right. Tabitha Saxon Guyton was born/ died 1764-1811. Trying to prove she is the daug of CAPT Charles Saxon. The brothers-sisters appear to have right name. but no source proving all listed together in a document. THX.

Have your ordered the application(s) and supporting documentation for Charles Saxton (this is the surname used by the DAR)? This may answer your question. You can order only the application ($10), only the documentation ($20), or both ($30).

PS

Since there are two applications, all of these would be a total $60.

Am in DAR. It appears that the applications were very old when DAR did not require much for proof or source.  Not much there, to tell the truth. 2020 DAR would never accept what is there at present for doc/ proof. I want to send in my supplement, but don't have a true source which is required. The DAR did not list a source back then on the old apps. So now--trying to find out if anyone out there has a source. Have read about his fighting, etc. but no lineage is listed or shown to Tabitha, the female daughter I need to link for sure. I think I can prove Charles Saxon is patriot for sure--but not sure can prove that THE Charles Saxon, patriot, is father of Tabitha. Thanks.

See site DAR Genealogical Research Data

They even have a descendants help.   Mostly listed information from when descendants applied in later years and listed him as an ancestor.  Good luck !

I have read so much information, found so many documents and everything is colliding. Convoluted mess. Questions:  1) is the Capt Charles Saxon in DAR patriots the same as Capt Charles Saxon in Hayes Station Massecre/ Edgehill Plantation Battle of Rev War?  If he died in battle in 1781, how could DAR have Death dates 1808 and 1816?  Even more confusing, his Will is dated 1816 approx. 2) Did Capt Charles Saxon really die at that battle?  some say he escaped. But monument appears to have conflicting info. 3) Is Tabitha Saxon(1764-1811) who is wife of Moses Guyton, the daughter of Capt Charles Saxon?  Can't find proof. DAR says yes, but most documents say she is dau of Samuel Saxon. 4) How could DAR have Capt Saxon dying in Wilkes Co GA?   Have found nothing on that! Am trying to apply to DAR thru Tabitha to Charles Saxon and I am not sure DAR info is correct. Gives no source as old, old, old applications.  Appreciate any clarification on this muddled mess.
PS -  DAR has no source info on this of any trusted weight. Old apps did not require much for proof. No source provided on one of apps for Charles Saxon. Now, DAR requires definite proof and sources. Not sure they will accept my supplement as a direct link w/o adding more source info.
