If you are just getting started in Irish records and sources or like me, doing the hit and miss method  the National Archives of Ireland training has put together a great course (FREE). They go into some of the basic genealogy tips and then get into Surnames, Placenames, Census records, Civil records, Church records, Property records, and Military records.

You may also be interested the Ireland Research Resources Team here on Wikitree. We have a lot of links to Wikitree help pages that relate to Ireland.

If you need some help or would like to join the Team, please leave a answer below. We are also looking for someone to organize and lead the Team.

Even with a trip to Miltown Malbay, I still have no records.  My grandmother was born & raised in the Ennistymon Workhouse from 1892-1904 before coming to the US.  I found her passage, and all of her life here,  But nothing at all from the workhouse.  Ellen Mary O'Rourke.  Can't even find her BC.
