What is the purpose of the category "1918 Flu Pandemic"

Question

Since no category should be without content, I have added some to the category for "Sweden, 1918 Spanish Flu Pandemic". However, when stating the purpose of the category I can't find that info in the parent category text, it's mostly info about the pandemic.

So, what is the purpose for the category "1918 Flu Pandemic"?? Is it a category for those who died in the pandemic or for everybody who had the illness, even those that might have recovered? Which profiles should be added to the category?

It seems like it should be an upper level category and no individual profiles should be assigned to it. 

That's said whatever level is posted to a profile, it should be clear what the purpose is-- my initial assumption is that it would be to categorize people who died from

That epidemic.

I agree it would seem a top level category, not intended to have profiles directly under the category, but it does not have the template for top level.

I don't know anything about top level templates, and it looks like it's actually a level below "worldwide disasters" so maybe that's why no top level template (assuming top level categories have nothing above them-- is that an accurate understanding?) Whatever level it's at, I still think it shouldn't have individual profiles attached to it.

These seem to have been created quite a few years ago before the {{Top Level}} was in wide use. I have added it to the category, but since it contains 47 profiles, they will all end up in the suggestions list.

It does appear that the category was created by or in coordination with the WW Disasters project in order to group people who died during the pandemic.

EDIT: Top level is cleared of all but one profile, which will be moved out once it is opened.
