Hi,
I don't think we have any connection, but i noticed your listing as i have been looking for a John Taylor born about 1845-47 in England and who lived in New Zealand.
Was your John Taylor born in 1846 and died at 72 , in 1918 in Aramoho and married to Alice Willis Taylor?( I saw this information on Papers Past)
My John Taylor was a carpenter, who lived in and around , Dunedin , Ch Ch and Southland untill about 1881, then i have no idea where he went or where he died.
The reason why I was interested in your John is he has a son called Archibald.
I found a news paper article on Papers past that was about a John Taylor , a Carpenter and his son was called Archibald. They lived in Akaroa in 1887 and i think
Archibald would have been born about 1875, which would have been before John and Alice were married in 1879. (It is just as likely that the names are a coincidence)
anyway,
If by some coincidence your John was a Carpenter and there is a possibility that he fathered an illegitimate child before he married Alice willis Kemp, then I would love to hear from you!
My g g Grandfather George john thomas taylor was born Dunedin 1875 to John taylor a Carpenter and Catherine Taylor. They weren't married, although they lived together for ten years , untill about 1878 .
Thanks for your time.
