You don't have much of your family tree here on Wikitree.  Certainly with the same surname, there is a chance that you are related to Daniel.  Is there a Y-DNA project that includes people that have a solid paper trail tracing to Daniel?  If so, have you had your Y-DNA tested and joined the project?

He could be related to you. Have you taken a yDNA test? Do you have a paper trail tracing your lineage back to Daniel Camp-3623? If you want to use yDNA to confirm your relationship to him, you would need to document your own tree back to him, and then find another living Camp male who also has a documented tree that goes back to him, and whose yDNA matches yours.
