Elizabeth died about 1634/5. The Simple Cobbler was published in 1647. In it Nathaniel stated "I have been a solitary widower almost twelve years".

Family trees on Ancestry list a marriage to Elizabeth Stuart(?) in 1606 as well as a marriage to Jane Hopkins in 1606. The marriage to Elizabeth supposedly produces 3 children. The marriage to Jane produces 2 children. Birth dates overlap so information is not accurate.

I am interested in information about Nathaniel's son, James Edward Ward, born in 1608. Maybe someone has this documented correctly.  The response from Anne B. adds more information I am not aware of.  Thanks.
Since James returned to England c. 1646, you will probably need to research there instead of Massachusetts to find him
