Edward Ancell b. 20 July 1807 Parents are?

Question

This Edward Ancell cannot possibly be the son of Edward Ancell and Sarah Catterton.  The dates are wrong.  My data says that he is most likely a grandson.

It is possible that he may be a son of Robert Ancell and Frances Pearson, however, I do not have documentation to back this up at the moment.

Please, how do we sort this out?

FS has the following parents listed. Robert Ancell 1779-1840 and Frances Pearson 1781-1820, married 1804. The marriage entry (Virginia Orange County) looks to have recorded her last name spelled Pereson, I can send you the link to this if you like.
