Question about Elizabeth Scales

I am a descendant of Moses Haynes who died in 1828 in Elbert County,Ga. Moses’ wife was Elizabeth Scales. She was the mother of Moses G Haynes. Unfortunately I can find no birth death dates for her and her gravesite is unknown. She would have live contemporaneously with Colonel Nathaniel Scales who may been her brother. Colonel Scales and my ancestor were both involved with the Revolution and my have been comrades in arms. This is a very tenuous and speculative connection on my part so I’m wondering if anyone can substantiate or disprove the connection.
