Once again I'm on the search for the wife of Andrew Jackson York!
On her profile are the following sources:
- 1850 Census
- 1860 Census
- 1870 Census
- Son James's Death Certificate
I have not been able to locate her marriage record, and I'm uncertain where her marriage would have occurred in the first place -- certainly not Ulster, where I've searched on FamilySearch.
She was born between 1822 and 1826 if the censuses are to be believed. She would have married Andrew between 1838 and 1841, most likely in New York State. Catharine would have been between 15 and 17 when she gave birth to her and her husband's first child, Abram (or Abraham). Abram was born in Pennsylvania, and she herself was supposedly from New York.
On her son James' death record, her name is given as Elizabeth... something. I asked a question about it three years ago. If you need a better look at the record to get an idea of what her surname might be, it's on Ancestry.
Known places her husband and children have lived:
- Wawarsing, Ulster, New York
- Pike, Bradford, Pennsylvania
- Camptown, Bradford, Pennsylvania
- Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania
- Tuscacora Township, Bradford, Pennsylvania
Thank you in advance for your help!
