The Coastwatchers - more formally "Coast Watch Organisation, Combined Field Intelligence Service" or "Section C, Allied Intelligence Bureau" operated in the Pacific Theatre during WW2.

Mostly Australians, but there were New Zealanders, British & Pacific Islanders. Not all were military.

I have no idea for the "best fit" within the category structure.

I think [[Category:Coastwatchers, World War II]] with a parent category of [[Category:World War II]] could work since it's really multinational and related to civilian efforts in the war.

What other ideas are there?

I think that makes sense Natalie.

Maybe also under [[Category:Australia, World War II]], since most potential profiles seem to have been Australians & sometimes people like me navigate to categories, rather than search.

A category already exists for this: See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Coastwatchers%2C_Australia%2C_World_War_II

Should you need this for a profile which is not Australian, this may need to be created.  See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pursehouse-83

Sorry Craig, I should have closed the question 2 years ago when the category was created.
