Free or reduced rates for some DNA tests

Billy Wallace told me about this website and I want to share it with those interested in DNA tests.  Some DNA Projects collect funds to assist with paying for DNA tests.  These are donations from the project members, not the testing company.

This website has a list of many of the surname projects that offer funds for free or reduced rates on DNA tests.  Most have some requirement such as your documented ancestral line or perhaps that your line has not been previously tested.  It is a great opportunity to advance the genetic genealogy research for these DNA projects.  Here is the list of surname projects:  http://www.isogg.org/wiki/Free_DNA_tests

I see that there are some projects not listed on this page (Cooper and Perry, specifically), so I encourage you to also look at the surname projects on FamilyTreeDNA.com for additional possibilities:  https://www.familytreedna.com/projects.aspx?

And of course, please check our our DNA Project on WikiTree
