James Mathews - a PGM? [closed]

James Mathews appears to be same as that profiled in Anderson, R C "The Great Migration Begins...

RC Anderson has an extensive sketch of James Matthews in The Great Migration, Vol. 5, pp. 90-95.  His man died in Barnstable in 1684-5, and his last three children were Sarah, Esther, and Mehitable, so it seems that Mathews-192 is the same man. But some other life details differ.  I have a copy of that book, and will attempt to improve the profile accordingly.

And he is clearly PGM.

and the same man has another profile, Matthews-11395, with two of his other children, to be merged with mathews-192.

Since Anderson uses Matthews - two tts - I put pgm on that one and have ppp'd it for spelling. I have set the two as unmerged matches, just in case as you do the profile the children on one or the other don't belong. We don't want to prematurely merge them. If that turns out to be the case, let me know and we can add or remove the project.

I've updated Mathews-192 with references to Great Migration sketch and its cited sources.  Someone with access to the copyrighted Vital Records of Yarmouth might be able to improve it further.  All the children connected to this profile or to Matthews-11395 seem to belong to this man.  Beryl Meehan has proposed a merge, which will require a removal of the PPP on Mathews-192 so that it can be merged into -11395, which spells the last name Matthews, consistent with the Great Migration.
