Was she Mary Cherokee or Mary Allen?

According to Wikitree, a man named John McDonald [McDonald-12439], who lived in Jefferson County, GA from about 1785-1840, had a wife named Mary.  According to Mary's profile, she "was at least partial Cherokee" although there is nothing to support that claim.  The McDonalds lived in Jefferson County, Georgia, over 200 miles from the Cherokee Nation. White men who married Cherokee women lived with their wives in the Cherokee Nation, not in white communities.  There is no connection to the Cherokee McDonald family, which consisted of a Scots immigrant, John McDonald, his Cherokee wife Annie Shorey [Shorey-355], and their children Mary/Mollie and George.  The dates and locations of the Cherokee family do not connect at all with the Jefferson County folks and their descendants are both famous and well-documented.

Mary's profile also says:

Mary "Polly" Allin/Allen... was born 3 February 1781 and died ca 1830-40 Jefferson County, GA. I'd bet she's buried same as John...Ogeechee River, Jefferson County, GA. Her father was James Allen/Allin 1756 - 1835.

His father, John Allen/Allin 1712 - 1778 and was born and died in Medfield, Massachusetts.

His father was James Allen/Allin 6 February 1679 - 3 September 1739. His will was probated 11 May 1739.

Which would be great, except all of these Allen/Allins lived in Medfield, Massachusetts.

So who was Mary?  Who were her parents?  Can anyone help?

Good catch, Kathie. Very unlikely that a Massachusetts-born man fathered a daughter who ends up in Georgia in that era.

Sounds like she needs a disputed origins section and a name change?
I also see that the person who created this profile hasn't been on wikitree since 2017.
I've added NA Adjunct to both Mary and her husband. Both profiles need far better sourcing, whoever they were.  I don't know much about DNA but I can't make any sense about the DNA claims made. Can anyone else ?
The  Cherokee woman known as “Ghigooie”  lived about 1730-1780.  She has living direct-line maternal descendants, so determining her mitochondrial Haplogroup is possible.  Mitochondrial DNA does not identify relatives (although it could exclude them), it identifies women who had a common ancestor hundreds or even thousands of years ago, not in modern genealogical time.  She lived too long ago for autosomal DNA to connect to her.  She apparently has one DNA-tested descendant here on Wikitree.
Mary Elizabeth Allen- Keeling was my Dad  Mother  he was GEORGE Jerome Keeling  her parents and Grand  parents  and Great grand parents were Cherokee  Blood  They were Ashley, Allen, Thorn,Leach,BUZZARD, Smith, White, some of this was never spoken of I found out on the internet  I'm only 1 percent  My DNA. A NATIVE  AMERICAN  BUT WOULD LIKE TO. KNOW  MORE,

How is the will probated 4 months (May 1739) prior to his death (September1739)?

The Allen family listed on the profile has no connection to any family in Georgia at this time.  James Allen, born 13 August 1756 lived and died in Medfield Massachusetts.  He did have a daughter named Polly, born in 1782, [Allen-38595] who married a man named John Kingsbury in Medfield, MA in 1801.
