Thank you Karen.

I would appreciate your advice/help regarding a critical connection in my family tree to Humphrie Copleston abt 1580. I have a copy of the Mamhead Parish Register that shows the following marriage:

Transcription by me.
Year = 1640

Samuel Ware Clearke & Urith ye daughter of Humphrie Copleston of Instow (esq?) were married ye 2nd of February.

Note: I and other sources believe that the "Clearke" refers to him being a cleric. Samuel Ware became a rector of Aschcombe church. I have Aschombe PRs that show Samuel Ware, Urith, and children.

The issue that I have is that the current entry on Wikitree does not include Urith. However, I do have other sources that indicate that she is the daughter of Humphrie Copleston and Joane (Pine) Copleston. See below.

Source, page 227 of: The visitations of the county of Devon : Comprising the herald's visitations of 1531, 1564, & 1620 / With additions by Lieutenant-Colonel J. L. Vivian. Vivian, J. L. (John Lambrick), 1830-1896. Exeter : For the author, by H. S. Eland, [1895] http://hdl.handle.net/2027/yale.39002002213917

To summarise, I believe that Humphrie Copleston entry on Wikitree is not accurate. As I am not currently permitted to edit entries, any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
