Is this enough info to continue tree?

I ran into this road block and I'm not sure overcome it.

While following my father's maternal line I can get to Peter Watson with sources. It shows mother as Mahala Watson. When I do a search of Mahala Watson I don't show a child named Peter except in a pedigree

"Pedigree Resource File," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:2:328Y-GTF : accessed 24 January 2020), entry for John Watson, cites sources; "Watts-Haile" file (2:2:2:MM62-TKR), submitted 3 January 2019 by grwatts [identity withheld for privacy].

Which has a Peter Lee Watson listed. Mother Mahala and location and dates make it likely. Is this enough to add Peter's father and keep searching?

Thanks everyone. I'm not sure what else to search as some reports say John Watson and Mahala had up to 20 kids and the census that far back don't have the best info. Any ideas of what else to look at?

I checked the Connection finder which you can also find at the top right of this page by clicking on Find. Associated with that resource is a Relationship finder which has me as your 16th cousin, twice removed. Our most recent common ancestor is John of Caversfield Langston born in 1412 in Caversfield, England.
Robert, I'm not seeing a Peter Lee Watson mentioned in the tree you linked to.  Did you link to the right place?  At any rate, my approach would be to take it slowly and do some more searching if you're not sure.  If you inadvertently get an incorrect ancestor embedded into your line, and continue from there, but then you later discover that was a mistake, it can turn into a real bear of a cleanup chore.

Pedigree Resource File is not a good source for a person. However, I looked around on family search and it looks like some one has linked the will of her husband John Watson, which is a good primary source and does give her name as Mahala. I've linked it below. It looks like she has a wikitree profile under Long-16662, but no sources for the maiden name

Oh sorry I just saw you were wondering more if she had a son Peter. I'm not sure about that since John doesn't seem to name all his children in his will
Good find.  With a brief perusal, I find a son Moses, but do not see a son Peter.

Edit:  Janelle, I think we were commenting at the same time.

I am no FamilySearch expert, but according to their own Wiki, the Pedigree Resource File is "a collection of user submitted genealogies."  So I would say no.  I don't find a Peter in the link you provided (although as I said, I'm no FS expert).

Is there a Peter Watson profile on WikiTree?  If so, what is the ID?

Thank you.  Even with your tip, I still can't find it, but I don't doubt it exists.

Regardless, I stand by my other questions and comments.
