I believe that Hazel's father may have been my grandfather, George Heath, can anyone confirm this?

Which Hazel? Which George Heath?

Sorry! I incorrectly assumed that my question would be automatically connected to the page from which I asked it.   Hazel Virginia Lafoe, born May 21, 1899, Compton, Quebec. Her mother was Edith May Blake, born Derby, Vermont, 1885. Edith did not marry Albert Lafoe until 1902, three years after Hazel's birth.   When Hazel married Eli Edward Davis in Derby, Vermont in 1914, she listed her father as George Heath. I believe this man to be my grandfather, George Henry Heath, born Compton, Quebec, March 1875. No one in my family had ever heard of Hazel until I was contacted by someone asking me about it. But George certainly knew the Blake family, to whom he was related by marriage.  I was just wondering if anyone else knew.  Thanks,  Susan

Ah, well, when we post a question, there's two slots just below. The upper most of the two is where you put the URL of the profile you are asking about; the lower most of the two is for the tags (Canada, Heath, Blake, for instance) and a tag such as census, birth records something that would help the respondent focus (LOL)

So, then what  you are asking for is the bona fides of George Henry Heath, his vital stats in short?

AND he's not already, apparently, profiled on WT.

As Matthew posits, Susan R., he and others need more details on which George Heath --

There might be others for all I know, but are you pointing at one of these? And if so, which one?

Whether this is the one and same George I leave you to decide.

Thanks very much. I know all about George. It's Hazel that's the mystery. She was raised as a Lafoe, but her mother didn't marry Mr Lafoe until two years after Hazel was born. On her marriage record, Hazel lists George as her father. No one in my family knew anything about this. Hazel married Eli Davis, with whom she had a daughter, Lottie Davis. Lottie also married, and we do have matches to her children, but not as close as This scenario would suggest. I was wondering whether someone knew more about Hazel.

Ah. Okay. The question is more complicated than one would suppose.
