The tree you can put together from these two articles says the two Christophers are the same person

Find some sources and the uncertainty will get less. Here is a Nicholas Ridley on wikipedia:

There is no merge proposed for that person.  Sources are harder to find in the 1500s, but you need sources to determine if a merge should be done, so you can compare sources and all information about them.
