Is there an easy way to find out if a category exists?

I was going to add one of my ancestors to a category and was surprised that it didn't exist.  I would like to create a category, but I don't want to create a duplicate if I happen to have looked under the wrong name.  Is there an easy way to search for categories using key words?

Upper right corner drop down menu under "Find" - Categories - Click on #2 Finding Categories - that takes you to the correct section of the page -"To search for categories by keyword, click here."

Thank you so much!  I see it now!  I was so busy looking for the alphabetical listing that I overlooked the very obvious answer to my question.
