Challenge of the week: Improve orphaned profiles

Hi WikiTreers,

Will you join our "Data Doctors" Challenge of the week?

Once again, Aleš has come up with something to help us work together on a category of profiles that need our help. This time it's "orphans," i.e. profiles without Profile Managers.

Here is the list of orphaned profiles that could use some TLC.

Will you join us?

Every time you record a status update it will earn you a point. The member with the most points at 11:59pm EDT on Sunday night will get the Winner badge this week and the bragging rights. But we'll all benefit from a neater, cleaner shared tree.

If you're participating, please post here to let us know. It's nice to cheer each other on. Or post if you have any questions about how to participate.

Thanks for helping!

PS If you want to chat or coordinate what you are working on with others, in addition to this G2G post there is a handy spreadsheet courtesy of Steven Tibbetts.

I've been doing profiles that should be open when you get to the orange and red locks how do you get these open born 1860s there are 18 of them
After you contacted the profile manager and if he didn't respond, you can file OPR - Open profile request to open that profile or UPM - unresponsive profile manager. But now all those profiles are being actively reviewed by a Team member and should be opened in the near future. Over 1000 were reviewed and opened last week, but I think Paul started with unlisted profiles and there are several thousands to go.
I wrote to a profile manager regarding some stuff because I had added some sources for her (the sorcerer challenge and the German Project), and then I discovered--after going over my personal notes--that the man was my 3rd great-uncles, which is probably why it felt easy to add sources. So I wrote to her and asked her if she would like me to add his children to the page, and she has not yet responded, so I'm wondering if maybe that page has been orphaned. (I've been at this, on this site since Feb. 3rd, so I'm quite new to all of this).

Nice project. I hope I can do a little in the next week to help.
Has anyone else getting an error when going to the status button i keep getting told it is not secure and someone is trying to steal information its only on the states button
After half an hour its back to normal
We were adjusting our router settings and activated automatic redirects to secure HTTPS protocol. I think it should work without any problems.
The tracker hasn't budged all day despite all the profiles I worked on.

I think I can do a few, since I've adopted a few of these orphaned profiles. So, count me in for a handful!
