I been looking for 6 years, I’m needing some one to help me on how to find out who she could have been before she married what is my first step

The area they lived in South Carolina, Keowee, Pickens, Pendleton, Anderson, this area was once called Washington’s District and then Pendleton District, so I don’t know if I’m looking in the wrong place for any kind of marriage records, (if they was one) death certificate of the children listed may would tell her maiden name but haven’t been able to locate them, my research is a little messy on these profiles but lots of this is notes that shows what I’ve looked for the Cemetery and census I’ve looked at many of the folks on the census for a daughter of age and worked many profiles and most Mary’s is been found married with sources the Cemetery the names of folks buried I’ve also built many profiles of them, I’m very lost on this lady she is my 3rd great grandmother, her husband John Hiram Blackstone died before the 1850 census assuming but she didn’t list as a widow on any census, also died end on John Hiram Blackstone on his parents on the 1830 census they was already married and was very young the only census that they would have been living with there parents would be the 1820 census (If Mary was born 1805 she maybe on two census with parents), Thanks to anyone that sees this and has any answers or if anyone is in the Greenville, Pickens, Anderson or any other libraries that can look it would be very appreciated,

Have a Great Night

I found an ancestry.com tree with a Mary Blackstone and Hyram Blackstone in 1850. It is difficult to read.

Eastern Division Pickens South Carolina. I will try to find a copy of it. Lists Mary as 40 and Hyram as 12. I can read the name Martha she is 15 years old. Could this be them?

Here is the record I was referencing

Mary Blacksten

in the 1850 United States Federal Census

Name: Mary Blacksten
[Mary Blackstone]
Age: 40
Birth Year: abt 1810
Birthplace: South Carolina
Home in 1850: Eastern Division, Pickens, South Carolina, USA
Gender: Female
Family Number: 242
Household Members:
Name Age
Mary Blacksten 40
Thos Blacksten 17
Martha Blacksten 15
Hyram Blacksten 12
Judith Blacksten 7

This is all I could find and it doesn't seem to match.

Mary Cliett

in the Georgia, Compiled Marriages, 1754-1850

Name: Mary Cliett
Spouse: John Blackstone
Marriage Date: 5 Mar 1817
Marriage County: Warren
Marriage State: Georgia
It’s them but I need to find out more about them everything I see on line causes me to go back to base one. I’m very confused with who John H Blackstone parents was and sibilant this would help a lot and I see marriage record for Mary Cliette for 1817 to John H Blackston very confusing

thanks again for helping
I’m just wondering if John Blackstone and Mary Cliett that married 1817 is the parents of my John Hiram Blackstone (1838-1913) that is buried at White Plains Baptist Church, in Pelzer, SC but all these other census just doesn’t match up at all this is very confusing and I’m really really interested in this line because of it being my great great greats that is just to close to be a dead end I live one mile from White Plains Baptist Church where my 2nd great grandparents are buried and I can’t fugue out his parents, almost like they was not telling the truth to the census taker.

Thanks for helping
You know it doesn’t say that the Mary that is 40 with Thos 17, Martha 15, Hyrum 12, and Judith 7 is mom or widowed, I believe older research and notes from the past has me looking at what someone else seen and maybe needs a fresh set of eyes to look it over and maybe we can fugue it out I know John Hyrum Blackstone (1838-1913) and Elizabeth Breazeale Blackstone (1841-1913) had a son Wade Hampton Blackstone (1875-1966) his son Roy (1902-1976) his son my dad Donnie Joe (1941-2005) maybe John Hyrum Blackstone (1838-1913) parents died and he was being raised by a step mom or older sister named Mary Blackstone.

I just don’t know

John M Blackstone and John B Blackstone in Georgia maybe the father of John Blackstone (1838-1913) and maybe married twice. now Oconee County is close to the Georgia line, one of these men may of had mistress or something with out her calling her self a widow or maybe Mary age 40 never married but the rumors of them being 108 acres of land sold on Little crow creek in Keowee, (Pickens County Sheriff Sale) by Mary but in the name of John H Blackstone throws me off again, that’s why I believe I’m looking into to much, I believe this is some errors from past research

now this maybe John Hiram Blackstone (1812-bef.1850) dad Blackstone-118
