Amanda Jones, daughter 1880 U S Census, Steens Creek, Rankin, MS. Father is Orren Jones, Mother is Rebecca.

Both parents and all of Amanda's 8 siblings were born in MS. Her father was 49 and her mother was 43 at the time of the census.

Frank - thank you for your answer. I looked into it and the Orren Jones and Rebecca Jones did indeed have a daughter named Amanda Jones born around 1865, but the census listed them as black, and my great grandmother Amanda C. Jones was white. Thanks again for the reply, I obviously need to keep looking. All my best, Robert Jenvey
