Advice before editing this pre-1700 Gellineau profile?

Etienne's parents linked on the profile appear to be incorrect. (declared in the profile quoting Fichier Origine). Neither Jette, p483) nor Tanguay v1p261, declare his parents. Généalogie du Québec (https://www.nosorigines.qc.ca/GenealogieQuebec.aspx?pid=36619&partID=36620) and Family Search (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LRRN-G1Q) cite Fischer with his parents being Charles Gelineau and Catherine Durand

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects before  replacing the existing profile parents in favour of those on Fichier Origine? Thank you!

Hi, Peter, normally with this lengthy a biography and this many PM's, I would post the question in the comments section of the profile first.  And then wait to see what they say.

But lucky for you, the question was already answered in a prior post by one of the most knowledgeable people about Quebec, Danielle Liard and voted as Best Answer by Isabelle Rassinot, an equally expert French researcher (Isabelle has made several edits on the profile as well).   Danielle says this fichier you cite has the correct parents names.  Hopefully this link will take you to those comments
