Where would i put notes on a profile that I need to remember, but dont want anyone else to see?

I would imagine that if you don't want anyone to see the information, then it contains sensitive or private information. In that case, you should create a free-space page for those types of notes, and make the privacy either "Private" or "Unlisted".

If the profile is private, you could technically add the notes there, but they could become visible at a later date due to a merger, etc.

This is a nice idea. I might do that, although typically if I'm researching I'll just leave it public in case I wander off so that someone else might pick up where I left off.

But I can also see private info, like living grandkids details and such that could fall into areas where you wouldn't want to compromise privacy, so it could come in handy.

Or perhaps you could hide the comment in the profile's bio like this

Bear in mind that, if the profile is Open, anybody will be able to see your hidden note on the Edit tab.  If the profile has higher privacy, the Trusted List will still be able to see your hidden note.  The only place it won't show up is on the profile's main page.
