Why does the comment I add in the second “explain your changes” field not show up in the activity feed?

Question

When I type a comment in the “Explain your changes:” field in the first one that is listed on the page when editing a profile, the comment shows up in the activity feed.

When I type a comment in the “Explain your changes:” field in the second one that is listed on the page when editing a profile, the comment does not show up in the activity feed.

Is this correct or am I doing something wrong?

I just tested this and it is working for me. Would you share a profile that this happened on so that I can see if I can tell what might have happened.

There's a second field?

I don't believe I've ever seen a second field.

There is, Dennis. It's fairly new and shows up if you use the preview button to see what the profile will look like.

It is really nice because now you can use the Save button at the bottom without having to scroll up to add the Change explanation.

Debi. I was using the preview button. It happened three times for me. It happened once on each of my parents when I put the comment in the second comment field under the preview.

FYI.  Also, I had one instance where the info in one comment box didn’t update to be consistent with the same info in the other comment box, but I don’t remember which comment box it was at this point.  I only remember that it happened.
