Is it possible to upload a document in pdf format for use as a source rather than just uploading it as an image?

I have a copy of a Will in pdf format that I obtained from the British National Archives. I know I can upload it as an image, but I would like to be able to use it as a source, i.e. I would like to cite it. Is there any way to do this? Looking for advice from someone who is more computer literate than I am. Thank you!

You can link a reference/footnote to an image.  If you want greater interactivity, you can post the transcription (assuming it is transcribed) into the profile.  If it is not transcribed, I encourage you to transcribe it.  Most people won't bother to read an old handwritten document thoroughly, and you might not have fully understood it either (in my experience, based on transcribing many documents in which I found new information when I had to decipher every word).

Yes. And don't trust books of transcribed vital records if you can possibly get access to the original. I was faced with a major brick wall for years because of a misreading of a record in the published records of Bristol, Maine. When I looked at the original, the brick wall crumbled.
Thank you Julie!
