Hi, I am curious to know why anyone would challenge another to share their GSMD number? When you ask someone to compare their number with yours, I don't know what you are asking. What difference would it make? If I said mine was G# 96,758 (it is not, btw), how would that compare with yours -- except to prove that I was recently elected? I would encourage everyone who wants, to join the Mayflower Society. As a state or member society historian (and Deputy Governor General to the General Board of Assistants (GBOA)), I spend a lot of time helping people prove their Mayflower bona fides. I do not speak for the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, but it seems clear to me that the GSMD encourages everyone who can prove they are a descendant of a Mayflower passenger to join (although it might not go well if everyone applied at once). -- 11th generation descendant of William Brewster
