How do I use Wikitree X with werelate.org?

I have a lot of profiles on werelate.org that I am trying to migrate to WikiTree. According to [[Help:WikiTree_X]], WikiTree X should be able to do this. However, when I navigate to a page on werelate (such as https://www.werelate.org/wiki/Person:Paul_Miller_%2826%29) and invoke WikiTree X to create a new person, it just opens an empty "create person" page. If I choose the option to merge with an existing profile, I get a message saying:

No data found. To use WikiTree X, start on an external web page that has person data, such as a FamilySearch Tree profile.

Does anyone have tips for using WikiTree X with werelate?

I am using the latest version of Chrome for MacOS, and just installed the WikiTree X extension.

Personally, I'd go find those profiles on Family Search or Ancestry and save them from there, then add information from WeRelate if needed.

Welcome to WikiTree, Bruce!  Thank you for joining us.

Sorry to say, I got the same result when I tried to create Paul Miller.  I am using WikiTree X on Brave.  Sometimes it works (FindAGrave) and sometimes it doesn't (FamilySearch.org).  I even tried logging into WeRelate and got the same result.  My "answer" is I have no answer, but I did try.  Kitty

Wikitree X is a scraper.  You can find another scraper program and customize it for the websites you want. Since Wikitree X doesn't work with every website, you might try that, or just use it on the websites where it works (my approach).

Thanks to those who confirmed that WikiTree X doesn't work with werelate.org. That's a disappointing result, as I had spent a lot of time building well-sourced profiles on werelate. The alternative is Gedcom import, but I have found that werelate -> gedcom -> WikiTree results in "ugly" source lists (including lots of links back to werelate, as they keep a centralized list of sources) and biographies that need a lot of hand-editing to clean up.

Oh well.
