Format - Carriage Return

Question

For when I am adding notes to a specific person's profile, what is the special characer/s used to force a carriage return ?

<br /> will give you a line break. That's rarely necessary, though. More commonly used are things like bulleted lists, which are formatted like this:

* item 1

* item 2

etc.

Would you also know how to force a space, or a sequence of 4 spaces for example ?

Normally HTML supresses multiple spaces, but it looks like if you use non-breaking spaces, they all show up.

So you use &nbsp; for each space.
