An ID that says "invalid"

Question

I have been trying to award a Family Star to Cari Yocom for all of the time and hard work she's done sorting the Smock family. But when I put in her ID, Van_Tine-9, it comes out Tine-9, and when I put VanTine-9, no space, it went to someone else (and then I had to wait 24 hours before trying again). Solution anyone?

That's because her ID is Van Tine-9.  No underscore, and a space between the Van and the Tine.
