Anna Baldwin's mother Bernice Mahaffey Baldwin is the sister of my grandmother Edna Mahaffey Evans Hinamon.  I got lots of my information from the red Alexander Mahaffey Descendants book and many pictures from the Mahaffey side.

I have Aunt Sylvia's box of photos she used in that book.  In addition, Dad had a lot of "firsts" in his 21 years as a US Army Signal Officer.  After he retired in 1961, Dad took a position with United Aircraft as a Systems Engineer.  He was one of the three engineers who created the operating systems requirements for the Lunar Excursion Module.  Later, when the first suborbital launch occurred, Dad was watching on our black and white TV in my living room saying, "Wait'll they try to dock it. 

Dad's last Signal Corps course at FT Monmouth was a course in Missile Guidance systems and Nuclear Weapons Handling.
