My 10th great-grand-father, Jean Vassall II, was part of the Huguenot Migration. He was the Father of Anna Jones Vassall, my 9th G-G-Mother. The Vassalls were an ancient Catholic family of Normandy, which included two cardinals and a marshal of France; but John Vassall had became a Huguenot (Calvinist Protestant) and fled to England a few years before the massacre of Huguenots by Catholics on St. Bartholomew's Day in August 1572. Bonjour fellow Huguenot descendants or interested WikiTreers. As the Huguenot Migration Project Leader, it is my hope that this year we will add many new members, identify and improve Huguenot migration profiles and create new interest in this historically-important group that migrated around the world between 1550-1790. Please contact me (Snow-2128) to join the Project! [edit]
