I am working on my Clan's history after they set foot in the Colonies and after. I would like to thank Ronald W Collins who put together the 3rd edition, 2021 of The Genealogy of the Clan MacLean. I am finding that many of the gaping holes in the digital record can now be filled because of his exacting detail and study of the records at Duart Castle, Isle of Mull, Argyll, Scotland. [edit]

MacLean/McLean, Donald was my paternal 2nd great grandfather who was born approximately 1806 in North Uist, Scotland emigrated abt 1840 to Cape Breton, NS. Not sure date of death abt 1868.
