Edward Paul Abbey was an American author and essayist. He was noted for wilderness defense and anarchist political views.[1]

Edward Abbey was born January 29, 1927. He was the son of Paul Revere Abbey and Mildred Postlewait.[2][3]

Edward Abbey was drafted into the US Army at age eighteen, enlisting June 22, 1945, at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[4]

Edward Abbey died March 14, 1989.[5]

Edward Abbey was buried in an undisclosed location, in Pima County, Arizona, USA[6]
