Reuben I. Abney was born Dec 1854[1] in Texas to Joseph Duncan "JD" Abney and his third wife Keziah Williams.[2]
After the death of his parents, he is found living in Garden Valley, Smith County, Texas with the Murphy family.[3] In 1880 he is a farmer, living alone in Wilson County, Texas.[4]
He married Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hollaman on 14 Oct 1884 in Williamson County, Texas[5][1] and the couple had the following known children:
Annabelle K. Abney was born Dec 1885 in Florida.[1]
By 1885 Reuben and Mary had left Texas and were living in Gadsden County, Florida[6] where Reuben was a farmer with 190 acres of land, 90 of which he had tilled and was actively farming.[7]
Reuben died 05 May 1904 in Lampasas County, Texas.[8][9][10]
