They made their home in Salem Twp., Delaware County, Indiana in 1860, where Zur was a Farmer, and Sarah was taking care of the home and children, Hamilton-12, Job-5, Mary J-3,and Mahala C-9 months old.[4]
He was a Civil War Veteran, serving as a Private, in Company B, 69th Indiana Infantry.[5]
He and Sarah, were retired from farming in 1900, were living in Washington Twp., Delaware County, Indiana.[3]
He died on January 21, 1917, at the age of 91, in Delaware County, Indiana,[6] and was buried in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.[1]
