Biography

Andrew married Annie Laura Green, February 27, 1907, Layton, Utah

From his profile in Find A Grave:

Elias Andrew Adams was born in a humble two room adobe home, the second son of Hyrum and Rose Higgs Adams. He was blessed December 1, 1881, in Kaysville, UT. When he was six, his mother passed away.
Andrew's elementary school education was obtained by attending the one room school house two miles distant. As a teenager he assisted his father with both planting and harvesting the crops of hay and grain. The walking hand plow was pulled by three horses, a grain header pulled by six horses, and a threshing machine operated by ten horses were used at that time to plant and harvest crops.
A herd of cows were milked by hand night and morning, and fat hogs were butchered in the fall and winter and delivered to the meat markets in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Andrew married Annie Laura Green (Laura to the family), February 27, 1907 in Layton. This marriage was later solemnized in the Logan L.D.S. Temple.
In the spring of 1910 Andrew hitched up a wagon, tied the buggy on behind it, and with a friend headed for Grace, Idaho to see his brother, Rufus. Laura, with her two sons, Evan and Alma, came by train. They liked the area and decided to make it their home. Their third child, Selma Caroline, was born in Grace.
Andrew acquired farm property and built up a herd of sheep.
Andrew owned a threshing machine and traveled around the valley doing custom cutting of grain. He was part owner of the first rock-crushing machine and road construction equipment in the valley. He was president of the Last Chance Canal Co. for 5 years, a member of the Board of Directors of the Bench Canal Co. for 10 years, and vice president of the Equity Elevator and Trading Co. for 15 years. He was assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School for 8 years. He served in the capacity of Deputy Sheriff of Bannock County for 15 years and was elected to the office of Justice of the Peace two different terms.
Andrew had a keen interest in higher education and assisted in establishing a rural school system in Grace. He loved music, and through his efforts the Grace school system established a music program with a special music teacher. He served on the Board of Trustees for the Grace School District for 12 years.
He loved sports, especially basketball. He attended many games watching his sons, Alma and Evan, and his grandsons play. He occupied the same seat in the gym for many years.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 1, 1963, after which he was laid to rest in the Grace Cemetery in Grace, Idaho.
