David Adams was born about 1799 in Hope Town, Abaco Islands, Bahamas, son of Jacob Adams (1763–1829) and Wyannie Lavinia Malone (1770–~1835).

His siblings were:

David (15) married Mary Mahalie Saunders (15) (born in Bahamas; daughter of Nathaniel Saunders and Patience Unknown) on 20 February 1815 in Abaco, Bahamas. Their known son was Thomas J. Adams (born 18 February 1816).

David died on 15 May 1854 in Abaco Islands, aged 54.
