Herman Sampson Adams was born on November 15, 1911 in El Reno, Oklahoma to parents Brazil Adams (35yrs) and Emma Taylor (33yrs).
In 1942 Brazil enlisted with the United States Army for:

"Enlistment for the duration of the War or other emergency, plus six months, subject to the discretion of the President or otherwise according to law" as a Private in the Civil Sector.[1]
