Biography

Family Ancestry

Andrew Jackson Addington was born about 1815 in Scott County, Virginia. He was the son of Tandy Welch and Margaret Addington. The Addingtons are of English descent with many ancestors being of Puritan or Quaker beliefs. Like many other colonial families, the Addingtons were farmers. Oldest paternal immigrating ancestor from England is William Addington. (abt 1750 - 9 Feb 1805

He was a splendid citizen, and a minister in the cause of Christianity. He was like the giant oak that waved in the forest long.[1]

Marriage

Andrew married Verlina Easter Hutchinson on December 28, 1833 in Scott, Virginia.[2] Together they had the following children:[3][4][5] [6]
