The Rev. Henry Addison, son of Thomas Addison and Eleanor Smith, was born in Prince George's County MD 17 May 1717. He died at Barnaby, Prince George's County MD 21 August 1789.
Rev. Addison attended St. John's College, Oxford and was ordained in England in 1742. He returned to Maryland to become pastor of St. John's parish in Prince George's County. A Loyalist, he returned to England in 1776, but came back to St. John's later and remained the pastor until his death.
