Biography

When Charles Barringer "Charley" Adkins was born on February 10, 1827, in Bedford, Tennessee, his father, JOHN, was 30 and his mother, NANCY, was 22. He married Barsheba Jane Smith on November 14, 1855, in Massac, Illinois. They had ten children in 22 years. He died on May 21, 1900, in Massac, Illinois, at the age of 73, and was buried in Brookport, Illinois.
