Hezekiah was born on 18 Aug 1800 to Littleberry and Nancy (Adkins) Adkins. [1]
In the book, "The Adkins Family of Wayne County, West Virginia, Also Cabell, Lincoln and Boone," the author mentions the following: [1]

Hezekiah became a Miller (an occupation that served the entire Adkins family well for over two Hundred years) and ran a mill on Twelvepole for many years. This mill-the first to be built in the area that later became Wayne county-was built by Hezekiah 's uncle-Sherrod Adkins. It was located on Twelvepole across the creek from the mouth of Lick Creek.
’Hezekiah and Nancy are the Adkins progenitors of large portions of the Fry, Watts, and Ross families. Nancy d 1845 wc; she was buried in the Grave Hill cemetery located on Lick Creek. This cemetery was relocated in the 1970s to the newly formed East Lynn Community Memorial Gardens to make room for the East Lynn Lake. She is buried beside of Hezekiah in the part of the cemetery known as the Floyd Adkins section.

There are numerous land records of Hezekiah in both Cabell and Wayne counties. The two most important are both Wayne co. records. The first is a deed to Robert Ross dated Sept. 1, 1845 and list Hezekiah and Nancy as heirs of Littleberry Adkins Sr. This deed also list all of Hezekiah's brothers and sisters. It is in deed bk A pg 49 1. The second and much more important to me and other direct descendants of Hezekiah is a WC chancery record dated about 1865 in chancery bk 1 pg 606-7. This record list all of Hezekiah's children and also the five children of Aranetta and James Madison Ross (Aranetta d WC July, 1857) as direct heirs.
Hezekiah d WC 2 March, 1867 (Hardesty has 1866-tombstone has 1867) and as mentioned above is buried beside of Nancy in the East Lynn Community Memorial Gardens.
