Clarence Earl Agnew was born on February 15, 1899 in Abbeville, South Carolina, United States. His parents were William Augustus Washington Agnew (1855 - 1915) and Elizabeth Olena Seawright (1858 - 1925).

Clarence married Gertrude Ola Pearman (1903 - 1964) on November 29, 1922.^[1]

Clarence died on March 22, 1957 in Greenwood, Greenwood, South Carolina aged 58.^[2][3]
