Martha Allee was born on 30 March 1827 in Cooper County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Buford Allee, Sr. (1786–1865) and Susanne Catherine Evans (1786-1852).
Martha Allee married Robert T. Kemp (1825-1913) on 8 May 1845 in Moniteau County, Missouri.[1] They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter.

The family farmed in Moniteau County, Missouri, near to the farm of Martha's father Buford Allee, Sr., and farms of other members of the Allee family.[2][3] They later farmed near her brother William A. Allee in Moreau Township, Moniteau County, Missouri[4], and then settled in Walker Township, Moniteau County, Missouri.[5][6]
Martha Allee Kemp passed away on 4 March 1903 at the age of 75. She is buried in the Allee family Cemetery north of California, Moniteau County, Missouri.[7]
