John W. was the son of Abraham Allen and Martha Tucker and husband of Leona Miller, daughter of Robert and Eliza Miller from Kentucky. They were parents of twin sons, Newman and Newell, born 13 January 1897, both are buried in Sunny Slope cemetery in Ray County, Missouri.
The picture was made by D. R. Drenkel Studio, 209 Monarch St., in Aspen, Colorado and was sent by Bud Lillard, of Richmond, Ray County, Missouri to someone in Polk County, Tennessee. It ended up in the files of the Polk County, TN Historical & Genealogical Society. We are happy to be able to find his final resting place and add the picture to his memorial.
