Samuel Allen, son of John and Sarah was born April 8, 1658 in Newbury, Mass.[1]
He married first, Jan. 4, 1684, Jane Ross/Rosse[2], daughter of James Ross, of Sudbury. She was, perhaps, the Jane Allen who died Dec. 28, 1702.[1]. The town record says: Jane, d. Samuell, died Dec. 28, 170[torn] [? 1702].[2] However, there wasn't a birth registered for a Jane and Samuel's second set of children are born beginning 1705.
He married second, Abigail, who died March 26, 1714.[2]
He was a farmer, lived in Sudbury, Mass.[1], and died there Aug. 28, 1720, ae. 62[2].
He died intestate, but the probate records mention the following children: John eldest, Ephraim of age, Moses 15, Aaron 13, Sarah wife of Sam'l Stratton, Silence wife of John Shattuck, Abigail 10.[3]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Samuel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Samuel:
Narrative on profile of now associated wife, Abigail Williams, suggests she is daughter of Joseph Williams and Sarah Browning. Joseph and Sarah were of Salem and reportedly had a daughter named Abigail. What are the historical records to suggest this Abigail of Salem married to a but what records suggest this Abigail married to a Samuel Allen of Sudbury?
In the alternative, may we sever the wife "Abigail Williams" from the profile of this Samuel Allen and deal with her profile separately?
Of the various marriage for men Samuel Allen/Samuel Allin reported in Torrey, only one had wife Abigail Williams. He was of Manchester and they married Marblehead, 17 March 1686/7.
Torrey has a couple of marriages for men Samuel of Sudbury. Samuel d. 1705 there with first wife "Jane Ross"; marriage 4 Jan 1683. Another Samuel (who has second wife Lydia Hastings) m. Elizabeth Grout 22 Dec 1693.
Improving the identification of this Samuel Allen would help to better identify the wife.
If his wife Jane did not die until 1702, then there is no reason to suggest he married in 1686 to Abigail Williams.
Hope to use this as a workspace to sort out this incorrect association. --GeneJ
